I have never actually owned a mobile phone and I am probably the only person in the UK never to have one, although I did once hear about a 82 year old man living on the Isle of Skye who also never bothered with these damn disruptive things. (I think his name was Fred)

So when asked for my number I always laugh when I tell them I don't have a phone...the looks of bemusement from the girls that somebody doesn't actually want one makes me smile. I tell them ''I have a TOT card & I'll phone you''

It is within spitting distance of my usual hotel, i usually listen out for it to ring, please ring 3 times for 5 seconds each time before finally ringing agan until I pick up...(so I know it's you) Thanks
