Spoke about this to a freelancer, she reckoned she needed 10,000bt to live as she wanted per month, explained a lot of nights didn't get or want farang but still had to pay for drinks etc, overheads of her business she said, ha!!.
My reckoning is in agreement with IJ, as all thais are hopeless at saving and love material posessions, 10k probably included mummas divvy. By the way her mate had two farang sending her 10k each and she still freelanced.
