Here we have some wisdom. The majority of the Patong visitors on the other hand, think the opposite. What's more to life than shag yourself to death in beautiful Thailand? And then they return home. Counting the days and minutes they can return and do it all over again. And the mouths are dripping: "cheap! beautiful girls".

I would do probably the same when I'm 50+, my hair is almost gone, and woke up every morning besides a ugly, falang girl, with a total misplaced superior attitude ("you ugly bastard will never get another woman!") or .. maybe she's shagging the milkman. For these man Thailand can be heaven, after 3 days he buys a Harley, pops a young (22 year) Isaan girl on back the motorbike and he feels like 22 again.

Nothing wrong with that, on the contrary, but come to live in Thailand for some years, then maybe you start to see why you really "love" Thailand, if ever.

I think only Thai love Thailand (98% never saw another country, so not much of a comparison), the farang who are saying "I love Thailand" are basically saying they love the lifestyle and the possibilities they have because they have 10 times more money and they can do things here they only could have dreamed of.

I thank God every day that I'm born in a country where we have freedom of speech, decent education, which gave me the opportunity to travel and work abroad, and I got the opportunity to leave my country! Something most of the Thai can only dream of.

Believe me, when you get to know more alternatives, I will be very surprised if your answer to my question "In an other life, where would you like to be born and to grow up?" will be: "Thailand!".
