Sunset Beach Resort is at the north end, Kalim Bay, very good rooms, big pool, great breakfast, sauna, silent aircon with remote control. Your girl will like. A little beach just opposite hotel. About 15 minutes walk to bangla
Leelavadee Boutique is at the crossing to Karon, opposite Simon Cabaret. High quality rooms, nice pool, relatively new, you can forget breakfast there. But very good price. About 7 minutes walk to the beach.
On Kata Beach I stayed at Diamond Cottage. Good quality rooms, very good breakfast, big pool, 5 minutes to Kata Beach.
Would recommend to rent a motorbike there. Your gf gets it for about 100 baht per day, farangs pay more.
Check hotels at
www.latestays.com (14 days in advance maximum) and make your choice. Move around on the island and stay 3 nights per hotel. When you book the first and last night at the same hotel, you can leave your big baggage there in the storage room and travel with motorbike and light baggage.
