Update!
Great news
There are changes in the work permit rules from Bangkok and with the changes, Phuket will not held any more committee meetings to deny applications.
If everything is correct in your application form you will now get work permit.
And from the Governor's letter inside Phuket Gazette:
"Anyway, the newspapers can no longer complain to me, asking me why we have so many foreigners working here, taking jobs from Thais."
This says a lot about their attitude regarding foreigners
