best bet is Lamai , more for your money then chewang
you can probably get a 1 bed place from 7000 upwards
all depends on phone line .cable/sky TV etc stay in a hotel /guest house rent a bike and see where you like the best before you sign up for anything
if you pay all the years rent upfront your get a discount , if the place was 8000 you might get it for 7000 a month
