I can also agree that most Americans don’t travel. My Mother has never left the country and has no desire to do so. That’s just her, she is very happy in her little world. I went to college in New Mexico and was very surprised how few people had left the State. I live in Florida now and it’s the same thing. However, I grew-up in San Diego, California and most of my friends and people I know there are extremely well traveled. Then again, California is not like the rest of the United States. (Jay-bee it is because you are in S.F.) I have traveled all through South America, Central America, Europe, and parts of Asia; Lived in Japan, Spain, and Slovakia. I have been to 33 countries and have passion for travel that is insatiable. I want to see the entire world before I die. My next big trip will be the Trans-Siberian Railway, and will take me three months to do what I want. However, I am not the average America.

As for Bashing on All-inclusive Resorts…. I am a huge fan of them, but I also enjoy getting out and seeing the world. Nothing stupid about All-inclusive, they just have their place. If I am traveling with a woman that likes to be pampered, it’s always all-inclusive. I date very high maintenance woman and they just are not adventurous enough to go to Thailand, Bolivia or any other poor country; they have very thin skin. However, day spas and margaritas are always appealing to them.
