A friend and I were talking about some of the funny characters that we have seen over the years in patong. Im sure many of you have seen them.

The old lady selling chewing gum.

The guy selling dancing coke bottles and some times little babies. Never seen him make a sale in my 2-3 years of visiting patong!


Other interesting characters we used to see in bangla during the daytime / afternoons alot. One farang guy we named fcuk fcuk, as he would wander down bangla swearing blindly at anyone and everything (including immobile objects such as bar stools and bench seats). I think he may have had a few bolts loose.

Another thai guy (super mao) used to be out everyday. He would be blind drunk every day and go from bar to bar in bangla hounding whiskey off the bar owners. Usually it ended up with him throwing his clothes on the roof and disappearing for a nap somewhere. The last time i saw him was pre-tsunami, we were wondering if he was still around as we never saw or heard him after the 26th ?


So, are there any other strange or funny people/characters around patong that stick out in your memory?
