The serious issue being the Eagles Iron Duke? OK...........

Well, you currently have people writing letters to the local press at your instigation, which is great and I hope has some influence. You also live on Phuket and know where the Eagles are, you could approach the owner and using an interpreter, try and explain to him the errors of his ways! Conduct a 'Black Op' one dark, moonless night (a la Animal Liberation Front) and liberate these Eagles? or, Pay the MIB to do that for you, shouldn't be much!!

If none of the above are viable options or indeed works at least try to ensure that during the remainder of thier lives in captivity (Which realistically, I personally think is going to be the case here, unless you come up with a new option for the owner to pay his rent, put food on the table, send his kids to school and buy fuel for his generator!) that these birds are at least healthy (Pay for a vet to visit them!) and live a reasonably happy life with regular visits from expats carrying fishy tidbits for them?

I also personally think these Eagles are beautiful creatures Iron Duke and should only be seen in thier natural state: Being amonst thier remaining family, soaring high, living a happy, long and fruitful life - A little like the human-being orphans of the Tsunami who Dawsey does a hell of a lot for.

I believe you can get seafood tidbits from a fishmongers Wellington!
