You've gotta give the Poms something though, they did invent some great games that are played on large expanses of manicured lawn. Cricket, lawn bowls, polo, croquet, rugby etc. Just a shame that as soon as the Empire folded and they had to cut the bloody grass themselves it all went to shite.
I can live with them beating us in the rugby World Cup given only .0000002% of Aussies even roughly know the rules, (kick and clap I call it), but the cricket... christ that hurts.
