Better Late Then Never

First time to Thailand was in 1996. I was working in Singapore at the time and had my then girlfriend visit and we decided to go for a long weekend to Samui. Very underdeveloped at the time but beautifully so. I was so green I didn't even pick up on the P4P business. The few small bars did have alot of girls around but I assumed they were friends of the girls working behing the bar and were just hanging out. I found the offer of one of them to come back to our soom for a threesome amusing.

Up unitil 2003 Thailand was all but a distant memory. Until one of the guys working with me said I should take some stress leave and join him in Thailand. Always carrying on about the girls and ladyboys and a whole lot of information which I really took no notice of. The trip was booked and then became the last thing on my mind until we met at the airport.

First went to Phuket. WOW. All the tales my friend was telling me during work started to gel. I loved the place from the word 'go'. Everything was an adventure as you would expect.

Next went to Samui. I found it alittle too quite for my liking and thought if I'd come again I would prefer a longer stay in Phuket.

Finished off in Bangkok. That place was the icing on the cake. Organised chaos. I didn't matter how many stories I heard about the hands free bars, when I first walked in I had to take two steps back. Some of those go go bars were also abit hard to handle. We literally got swamped as soon as we entered.

The whole experience blew me away. My head was rattled so much that two weeks after returning home I was back for another dose.

Followed with a return trip during Christmas and will be back again in five weeks time.

I find Phuket to be the best place for the long term, but would definately require a bangkok shooter before closing.
