I wouldn't beleive to much about not being able to phone. I was ones in a temple in BKK trying to be very very quiet because i didn't want to disturbe the praying monks. Then suddenly a mobile phone went off. One of the monks just got up , pulled out the phone from his orange dress and started talking.
It was funnier when i saw it then when i tell it now ....
