If your connecting to an international, DO NOT rely on Air Asia to get you there in time. Also there is no interlining, which means you have to collect your bags, and make your way to the International Terminal and check in again, so make sure you have enough time.
If you are travelling out of Bangkok on Thai, then it makes the world of sense to travel Phuket/Bangkok on Thai as well.
