my budgit is £2500 and thats with a return flight.am only flying to thailand and then back to england so the rest of my journey will be on bus or train.so accom wants to be as cheap as possable.but for my first week i want somthing in a way central and clean thats not gonna cost to much but if thats not possible i dont mind getting a cab a few miles in. basically i want to arrive at the airport and have no bother getting to my destination for a good sleep.
oh yeah a pool is not important..and i dont need to walk out of my room on to a beach..

Look at the hotels on this website to get an idea of basic costs. For example, Juntana Resort is about $19US 10 GBP a night up to end of October for long stays of a month or more and $21 US 11.5GBP for week long stays and is walking distance to Bangla Road, the party area of Patong, which is the party area of Phuket. 300 yards to beach, A/C, pool, good place based on some reviews. You can probably find a guesthouse a little cheaper once you get there and some other BM's can give you some info.
Avoid staying out of Patong as the cab rides will increase your costs and hotels are more expensive.
And the more places to go to the more your trip will cost as the flights can be a big part of the trip.
