gday all Mark from australia here....been reading a forum for a few days, great place to learn about thailand.
3 mates are planning our first trip to thailand in around May....
Our trip will mostly be, 1.Nightlife, 2.Seeing some islands, 3.Doing some fun activitys, etc.....

Q1, May is the time we can go, is May an ok time to visit thailand for 2weeks?

Q2, Reading the forums i get the jist that phuket is very crowded and is more exspensive so we were thinking of staying in either pattaya or patong ?

Q3, Obviously you need to book accomodation, so what area would be the best for pattaya or patong for nightlife and accessability to activitys/having some fun?

Q4, Do some people just fly over and find a place to stay when they get there? or is that a little to risky.

Q5, We will visit bangkok for a few days sometime in the 2weeks but is Shopping in pattaya or patong just as good as bangkok?

Q6, Obviously Bar girls are a goer but do you also see many western girls etc ?

Q7, The islands, overnight trips? can you just head to an island and book accomadation on the day and spend the night there?

Q8, LOL this question, NOT into ladyboys, is there any way to actually know if you are chatting one up/spending the money and then finding out? bit rude asking i suppose but what happens here? LOL

Q9, Activitys- what are we looking at here? watching fights/pingpong, water activitys, heaps more?
