Why not plan where you want to go and then see if your budget stretches to it.
Accommodation/food/transport are all very variable costs - for example while I'm quite happy to sleep the cheapest places, I would pay almost any amount to fly instead of spending, say, 15 hours on a bus.
Have a look at the the forums on the lonely planet website to get an idea of costs/itineries in the various countries you are looking at.
