There are loads of Japanese tourists in Phuket. And they can be had if you take the right approach.
First off, the Japanese girls are likely not going to go for a guy who is over 40 and out of shape. They like the young, tall and thin look. Speaking the language will help but if you dont just speak slow and simple in English and try to be a little humorous. Knowing a few words or phrases in Japanese will help big time. Most of those beach boys hardly speak the language but knowing a little will help break the ice. Just saying hello (konnichiwa) or how are you (genki desu ka?) or what is your name (anata wa namae desu ka?) will work wonders to help you get to your goal.
You will find them on beach road during the day, shopping and what not. Go to places like Starbucs and Baskin and Robbins they love ice cream and coffee etc. YOu will find some on the beach but most do not like to get a tan. You can find them at the Royal Paradise which seems to be a huge Japanese tourist hotel located just of Raht tu tit (SP?) Just walk in and grab a seat at the huge pool. DOnt worry about having a key just sign another name and room number when getting a towel.
At night, you can find them at the more poplular, large seafood establishments on beach road. ALso they tend to flock to Soi Crocodile to look at the LB's which they found beautiful and amazing. Then they will hit Banana to "try" and dance the night away. Just ask one to dance and be super fun when you are with them. They are shy so you being outgoing will help get them out of their shell and their panties later on.
You will not score on the first night. Meet them the next day on the beach or for a sunset cocktail etc. YOu do have to put in your work for them, no P4P, however once you get them in the sack and make them squeel you will be happy with a job well done.
They can tend to be clingy after all of this as I can attest to on my last trip. Couldn't get rid of her for a week.
ANyways, Give it your best shot and good luck on gathering your japanese flag or yellow belt, (whatever you like to call it)
