Why is it crazy to say that high season is created by Hotel and travel companies?...and I did say " excluding xmas and new year" ? They have much to gain from doing this and little to lose. Some hotels/guesthouses offer a flat rate for most of the year, excluding only xmas and new year and maybe two weeks either side of this.
Nelsonone...I just booked up in Patong for 3 weeks in February. I easily got booked up and they offered may the room for only a 100 baht above low season rate. Entertainment doubles during high season? Luckily Ive never experienced that yet.
This is my opinion from my visits fellas...take it or leave it.

Not that I want this to drag on chucky but my point was that accomodation and entertainment in Patong can double during PEAK season............and that during High season it is also more expensive than at low season
Pattaya is different as I point out in my post
Glad you got a good deal for February........this is still HIGH (but not PEAK season) so should be a lot less busy than the last month ............I hope you have a great time
