What's the catch ??
Saracens are playing away to Biarritz tomorrow (Sat 21st Jan) and Bet365 are quoting them on the handicaps with a 19 point start !! Am I missing something as this is a ridiculous start to give them !!
Why ??
Biarritz head the group with 19pts with Saracens 2nd on 17pts with both teams having won 4 and lost 1. Biarritz have gained 3 bonus points to Sarries' 1, hence the difference. Earlier in the cup, Saracens beat Biarritz 22-10 when they played them at home, so why is the bookie giving them such a big start ??
After all, Saracens will go through and knock Biarritz out if they win tomorrow. Tall order yes, but to give them 19 points on the handicap is far too much in my opinion. I know that the price is good, because I have already filled my boots with a decent sized bet and I'm just waiting to see if any other bookies quote that start as well, before deciding whether to invest more or not.
I know Sarries recent league form has not been too hot, but cup games are different and this is an excellent opportunity for Saracens to resurrect a flagging season, as they are 8th (of 12) in the Premiership table and are not in any immediate danger of being sucked into the relegation zone. The final interesting fact is that they have gained the most Bonus Points in the Premiership so far this season and in order to gain these points, a team must either a) score 4 tries in a match or b) lose a match by 7 points or less.
So where's the catch ??
