To Everyone:
Wow, I came in to work this a.m. and opened up the message board (new addiciton), and was amazed at the number of responses.

I thank you all for taking the time to say hello.

Well I have good news and bad news.......Yes I fly on the 17th, but it will be from Dubai at 11 PM, and I wont get to Phuket until 1030 on the 18th. So looks like I will be doing Patty's day in the air.......
I could have got an earlier flight, but it was almost twice as much. Got a business class flight for 1100 as compared to 2100.
I am sure I can find alot to do with that extra grand in Phuket.

I do look forward to getting to know each of you a little more before my venture. Those of you who will be there, I look forward to throwing back a few dozen beers and shooters with you.

As for me being in Iraq. I was in the U.S. Army for 4 years during the first Gulf War, then got out to go to school. Made ends meet in SC for several lovely years.
I left SC about 16 months ago to come over here and support the troops. I work in the MWR (Morale, Welfare, and Recreation) department. I basically try to give those who are here a little joy.
It is a rewarding job, knowing and seeing what the guys do here every day that I can provide them a little piece of happiness and relaxation.
