Rates",this will give you the price in Baht. There are over 20 places listed for Patong Beach , all supposed to be under 1000 Baht.(you'd have to check availability).
Then check BM's opinions on the ones you think are OK.

When you've narrowed it down to 2 or 3 , e-mail them and see if they can do you a deal. (you may get a good price if they have rooms sitting empty).
Will take you about 30 minutes but will save you being stuck with somewhere "unsuitable".
