you might try taking one of the 4-week TEFL courses in Thailand (there are loads in Bangkok, a couple on Phuket, some in Koh Samai, Krabi, etc.); they'll teach you all the skills you would need, help with job placement, you get your teaching certificate upon graduation, and the good schools will help your future employer w/the paperwork involved in getting your work permit & Non-Imm visa

I'm going to try this route myself next year; the pay is low but the satisfaction great -- you gotta love teaching to do this kind of work....
