You forgot step 6a (before painting seals the compartment up permanently) - remove and discard any batteries. This will eliminate any residual functionality and provide you with the true Apple experience.
And step 8) push pencils as hard as you can into each both your ears. Thus will:
a) (if you push gently) give you Steve Jobs' hearing (the reason ipods are soooo loud and annoying on public transport is that the gimp Steve Jobs has a hearing deficit and insisted Apples so-called designers up the power beyond what some consider safe levels)
b) (if you push really hard and wriggle them about until your brain is mush) you now ARE Steve Jobs.
