I have been with a few LBs. I don't consider it the dark-side at all. Sure, there are some I've met who just want to fleece you for drinks/tips etc. but you expect that and experience soon helps you to spot those ones pretty quick. Perhaps I've been lucky and most of those I've met in Patong have been OK to me.
As for waking up with your LB and she now has stubble....well I can't say I've known that before! Anyways, if you're going over soon whether it be Bangkok/Phuket or Pattaya and you feel the need for something different then take the plunge. You could do a lot worse. Nothing ventured, nothing gained...
