Hi guys, my name john, I live on the far north coast n.s.w. australia,,a village south of byron bay,,I am 46 y.o. male.I work in commerical constructin,my interests are big yank tanks ( I have a 1967 pontiac bonneville ),motorcycles( 1 honda trail,2 harleys)& finishing my new home (landscaping) I have never married. I have had all the aussie girlfriends and I would prefur to hand out my hard earned cash to a girl with a smile rather than the scorn.Last year I went to los ,my first visit.Wow,I love the people,,In june 05 I stayed at the merlin hotel patong beach,, I did like this hotel as it is just out of the hussel @ bussel of town,It was post tidal wave,all the shop keepers seemed a bit desprate to sell their goods,,it was not busy,,this suited me as being a country boy at heart,,(go to byron bay for crouds of tourists) I wish I discovered this forume before I left,I travel alone,my holiday was a recovery from illness & a well earned break,,I check out this forume allmost dailey now,and it is a greate help,,. Due to illness I can't drink much alcohol(nil)but when on hols you got to have a go,as I did ,just a day or two to recover,so I am no barfly,as all you men know it's hard to have a good time in the bars if you are not drinking,but I am learning,,I went to a bar in soi tiger,,best friends bar,,as i walked through this arcade I was bowlded over by a bg who said to me "hollo darling ,I wave to you on my motorbike today ,you not wave back, I lub you long time"well i had just watched the movie Full Metal Jacket,,there is a sceen in the movie in veitnam where a street girl say 's 'I lub you long time,,anyhow I sat at this bar all night and had a wonderfull time with the girls and guys,,this bg was like an ambassetor,she took my places on her bike,,wanted to do my washing,,look after me,wow,yes she wanted cash,no problem I think she even paid herself as I lost 1000thb which was in my room,no worries as she did not ask to double up,,we spent a few days together,her name is Lum Yai,( do you know her ??)This forume has highlited some of the mistakes I made,next time a bit wiser,I 'am thinking of renting out my new home and going to los for an extended time I am learning about all the visas ,accommadation etc, and I am sure you guys will give me the right advice,I will return soon, june maybe, and I will now socialize at mtb next trip,regards and thanks,,. jayel
