Another Newbie
G'Day all. I thought that being new to this board I should be polite and introduce myself.
I am a 52YO Australian resident of Scots descent. I work as a consultant on major projects around the world and my family and I have lived in many different countries. Although we think Australia is the best place we have ever lived, LOS is our favourite holiday destination. We visit Phuket twice a year and on our last visit we changed from the big resorts out of town to staying at Patong. I have teenage kids who love the place and are seldom seen except shopping. My missus likes to laze around the pool all day and I like to roam the bars meeting people. At night after a good meal we like to visit bangla road and just soak up the environment and play games and talk with the BG's and staff. We think the Thai people are very nice and friendly and we never worry about splashing around some cash to buy them drinks. The times that the kids have gone to bars with us, the BG's make a big fuss over them and play games with them. They surely are lovely people.
We are coming back 10 March for 16 nights and hope to meet some of you at MTB. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn.
