A little unfair to the genuinely injured player and his team.That wouldn't work.
Cheats should go to the sin bin for 10-15mins at the very least.
Trying to get another player sent off by cheating should get the cheat himself dismissed.
Every country has its cheats, I first noticed the play acting by the Italians in the '70 World Cup.
