I think this ok, because if there is so much trouble by overstays it makes the farangs go for their visa. 200 bht doesnt really hurt! and as the maximum sum is still 20.000 i think the intention is not to rip the poeple but to get them back to the rules. better treating like this instead of that crazy story with the visa riun bus 2min. away from the border
