Never in 20 visits have i had money taken but i always as Dawsey advises keep the bulk of my cash in the hotel safety box . one of my mates has had it happen several times when with freelancers in pattaya basically i wpould feel if you took a girl from a bar and they know you can go back to the bar and find them they would not risk stealing a few thousand bhat.

one time whilst staying at the beach view hotel in pattaya i had a room maid come down to the swimming pool AND GIVE ME A SEVERE bollocking because i had left money lying around my room she was so angry she says if someone else took my money she would get the blame for it

safety boxes in the room are not great idea again my mate paul one time came in pissed with 2 girls in pattaya opened up his box to get cash to pay them and then zonked out woke up to find all his cash gone only thing that saved his holiday was he only had 5 days to go and also the boss of the penthouse hotel who is a good friend of ours advanced him some cash for the rest of his holiday because he knows we are regular visitors and we would pay him back.

my friend is coming to los in april and has booked a flight with thai which includes 2 nights at the belaire princess in bangkok but because he has learned that there safety boxes are in the rooms he will not go there now as he knows he will get pissed and leave his box open or something
