If there are Thai people about, I would let them sort it out. It does say it was a verbal altercation between the girl and the admirer. Maybe the farang jumped in a bit early and did not fully understand the position he was putting himself in.
Also says that there were other occassions when he had approached her, which appears she managed to fend off ok, so was this occassion any different.
Full marks to the Thai bloke who stepped in to help the farang.
