I think you should be ashamed..
You should hire a PI, let him find her and then buy a ticket and meet up with her. Tell her how sorry you are and buy a new car for her.And while you doing that, buy a house for her parents, and some buffalos too..
I mean, nothing is to expencive when it comes to clearing your bad concious, isnt it.....
