Gee ask a simple question...
No suspicious activity here. Just trying to get value for money for an upcoming trip, and im getting married and putting in a spouse visa . I have a thai bank account i can send to, trouble is to send money to thailand, it is calculated at exchange rates offered by australian banks, which are considerably lower.
Im not talking a huge amount here by some of your standards, just 10K AUD.
My bank offers me 26.6430 Baht currently
But i can get 28.3880 Baht currently at a thai bank changing cash (possibly more depending on where it is changed)
So i can save about 17500baht on the exchange and 1000 baht in fees.
Ok so 18500 baht may seem like chump change to a few of you, but its money id rather spend then give to a bank.
