Sounds like my first experience in Thailand. After the encounter, I asked, how much. She held up 3 fingers, and I thought to myself...great, only 300 baht. As I was giving her the money, she said, NO, 3000 baht. I learned quickly to always settle on a price beforehand, then you should have no problems..... if you think its too much....just say, no thankyou, and move along. Even the bad experiences are good in Thailand.
