Mom's tri Kitchen, had in my opinion better cuisine. It is on the hill, road to Kata noi.
Really excelent and more intamate. Now I have been to some of the fancy places, and will not return easily.
One you have some nice adresse to chose from, much less expensive and with an ok athmosphere, this is a waste of money. For a birthday, or so, that is ok.
In Kata, I always go, on the beach, to the last restaurant at the south of the beach, near the reggea bar there. Not the nicest , but with a view on the ocean, and the thai food is at least authentic. Cocaonut in Patong is a bit better, but you don't have the view.
