If they say "yes" then I would suggest that they should know and are correct, but if you are still not sure, then take another card, e.g. a another credit card just in case. It may be that the connection to atm's in Thailand is not reliant on cirrus/maestro and they are connected using another system ??
Which bank are you talking about ?? Maybe if you post the name of the bank, someone else might have tried that bank's card and they could tell you whether they had been successful or not.
