I needed to move my visa to a new passport recently and popped down there, found them to be really friendly, apart from the fact that he couldn't find the damn stamp...off to Phuket town it was then.
Talking of immigration offices, did a run to Ranong last week with a couple of mates, intention was to have an early night (yeah right!) and then get out the door at 8am so as not to rush too much. We got home at 7am and didn't wake up til 11:30am and would have binned it for the next day, but I was on my last day so had to go. We kicked the girls out into the midday sun (not happy!) and hit the road. The weather was awful which made us even slower getting there. Eventually made it at 3:30pm, when the office shuts at 4pm

so basically we had less than half an hour to get stamped out, over and back on the boat and back to be stamped in - no chance. My mate who speaks very good Thai had a chat and made some bullshit up about my other mates sick child blah blah. They seem to be impressed that he had good Thai and ended up having a laugh with us - which is the first time I've seen them smile/laugh!! Turns out that the office shuts at 6pm not 4pm...they just put that up to stop people turning up late in the day

Thought someone might like to know that if they are late going up one day - although don't blame me if they are actually shut!
