I would seriously consider delaying your flight to KL Aus. If you still have an infected ear,then you are risking a lot of pain and possible further damage to your ear canal.
I'm no doctor,but I was advised NOT to fly with an infected ear. Two or three days on penicillin should cure it I would have thought.
Have you checked your travel insurance for things like this?
