easy way

normally we take the turn-off for chaiyaphum (201) just where it begins South of Korat , but this time I decided to follow highway 2 all the way to Khon Kaen , as according to the map , this seemed a more direct route , before talking a right towards Chumpae and rejoining the 201 there. Being listed on the map as a major highway , i thought that I would also be able to put the foot down on the gas and save time. Soon as I pass the Chaiyaphum turn-off teerak says "what you do ? , you no see road for chaiyaphum" , no says I this is easy way...but it seemed that the day before the start of Songkran about 2milllion other motorists must have thought also that this is easy way , plus the highway 2 unbeknown to me went right through the centre of korat , where the traffic just came to a complete standstill for over an hour..
we've been back in phuket over a week now and everyone that we have met , somewhere in teeraks conversation at some point I always pick up on two words when she's talking in thai ... "EASY WAY" ...555
