I've been in hotels where the rooms with aircon don't have windows that open, for example, the Expat. For me, breathing ari that is filtered by air con is almost as bad as beathing cigarette smoke. Well, maybe not that bad, but I still hate it. So when I get an aircon room, since most places don't have the overhead fan rooms anymore, I simply have to have a window that opens. I'll keep it open while the aircon runs, if necessary. Not energy efficient but have to have fresh air!!!

I also stayed in a room in BKK with no windows. Very freaky. The nice thing was it was very quiet, but could on stay there as short as possible(2 nights). Too weird!!!
