Hey, I see here many use the route from/to Europe or LA.

I plan a different one and wonder if anyone has taken this:
US East coast:
Philadelphia - New York - Anchorage - Taipei - Phuket.
I know it is a long haul and I also know that there is a long stopover in Taiwan.
But I just wonder if anyone has done this and how dead he was after arrival in Phuket.
I will only be going for a week so that is quite crucial with regards to preparation, e.g. sleep before.
I also will use only Eco class. Prefer to spend the money in Phuket or give it to my tirak. She will definitely apreciate it much more than China Airlines!

Alternatively do you know of any other flights PHL - HKT for around €1000?
