Same Same here. Having more and more problems getting my stuff through to where I want it without having to pick it up and check it back in at each airport.

Latest trip for me was Baghdad - Dubai - Manchester - Dubai - Bangkok - Phuket - Bangkok - Dubai - Baghdad. I did manage to get my hold luggage from Manchester to Phuket without seeing it.

I can understand Baghdad and Dubai having these regulations. I move from Baghdad, beltless, shoeless, lighterless, no jacket, through seven checks to get on the aircraft to be met in Amman at the bottom of the steps by a walk through metal detector and my hand luggage x-rayed before I can get to the terminal. It is a pain for us moving from Iraq as everyone assumes we are carrying explosives, grenades, weapons and ammunition etc! (One day I did! But that's another story for another time!!!) I live with it!

You can imagine my luggage going through with a BGW (or SDA) luggage sticker on it and blokes with dogs just jumping all over it! If they know the SDA code that is!

It might be well to keep an eye on the situation and see if it deteriorates. I get peed off enough at airports without the possibility of this new security measure being implimented................Although! We would all be concerned if there wasn't 'any' security..........It's finding the right middle path of having the right amount for us all to travel in safety.....and that takes time IMHO.
