I went to a young ladies studio apartment in Phuket. She was paying 4000 baht a month. Decent neighborhod, very clean apartment, had DSL(additional cost), 1 mile from beach. This is $104 a month.
Well I live near the beach in California and a studio here costs $1500 at the beach and at least $700 a mile away.
Do the math, it is a lot cheaper to live in Thailand and anyone who thinks any different is smoking something.
