How do you stop time… Today only 1 week until the GF heads home for Thailand. That’s gonna be a nasty one for both of us.
We have had a fantastic time together and she has really adapted well to living here. She has no doubts that she can live here in Denmark with me so that couldn’t be better.
Therefore we have taken the consequences and are actually getting married here in Denmark tomorrow.
That is the first step on the way to get her to come live in Denmark permanently. On Monday we will head into the Danish Immigration department and submit the papers for a residence permit for her. The paperwork is insane by the way – this is bureaucracy at it’s best.. The application with copies of all the documentation they need is about 200 pages so that’s going to take most of this weekend to compile that bugger..
She will head home to Thailand on June 8th, and I will join her on June 28th and stay until July 11th. I’m staying in the Khorat area with her parents all the days so that will be a big experience and I am really looking forward to this.
I’ll return to Thailand on August 11th again and most of my family will be joining me for this trip, as we are having a traditional Thai wedding on the 22nd. Hopefully, when we all go home on August 27th, the immigration department has finished the processing of the residence permit and my wife will be able to go home with us.
Well just wanted to give you guys a quick update. I’ll post some more after she has gone home and I have some more time in front of the PC ;o)
