Good food outlet in Patong...
"The BBQ Hut" on the Karon Road in Patong Beach. American Mike and his staff still provide the best smokehouse ribs and chicken. Their Tex Mex chili is also a very popular dish." Quote from a review I read on the net where the writer gave his Phuket awards for 2002 and this place he considered the Best New Food Outlet.
I had a couple of meals there as just a short walk from my hotel and agree that the food was above the usual standard. The owner who is married to a Thai lady was very hospitable and gave me some good info about places to visit.
If you are in that area well worth a visit.

This award goes to Howard the owner of "The Green Man" near Chalong. This guy has more money than he can count and so he has built a three storey mock Tudor English pub, which he runs for his own ego trips. He could not care less if he has customers or not!! He has been known to tell punters that if the don't like the prices or the music they should leave. Quite frankly I don't like being over charged to have the privilege of sitting in a "plastic pub" listening to some very tired music from a low quality band.
Anyone visited there?
