I'm a bit of a watch fan myself, so take an interest in these threads. I think there are, as has been said, good and bad copies out there.
It does help if you know your watches in the first place. For me, it's Rolex so I can see a good copy from a bad one. But if you showed me a dicky Breitling I would not have a scooby if it was any good or not.
I suppose the message is: know what you are looking for, and what you are talking about, and walk away from the crap because there is a lot of it out there.
I guess the other thing would be to stay away from Rolex, they seem to get examined far more closely than any other make when you get back home and everyone wants your Rolex to be a fake.
