If you are starting out in say patong + the service left from Phuket airport it wouldn't be worth doing.....that takes almost an hour......
Normal ferry about 3 hours......some of the dive boats make it in just over 2 hrs......
Speedboat from Rawai/Ao Chalong pier quickest option definitely.......
