zzzzzzzzzzzzz ha ha i'll get to the point
what are the chances of being able to get work out there? is it easy?

Why work if your only in LOS for 30 days? Like you said go experience the whole country. Go to Chiang Rai and over the border, go to Chaing Mai, then slowly move east and see Isaan then go southward and stop when you reach Phuket. Your 30 days will be up in no time.

Now if you had 6 months, looking for a low paying, low skill job might be an option.

Most schools don't hire them too young now days as when they get done training and teach for a couple months they move on again and the school wasted time. They don't want backpacker teachers who are always leaving they want steady staff.
Diving in Phuket has really come under the microscope lately as many businesses don't pay their taxes this was in the Gazette recently.

If you spoke, read and wrote Thai that would be a differant story.

Cheers!
