If you lived here you might look at it with a different perspective. You come here for 2 or 3 weeks and you accept costs like LD as all part of your holiday budget. When you live here it can get a bit frightening if you think about some of the expenses.
So say ALL bars started charging 200 for Lady Drinks. I'm usually out on average 5 nights a week and average say 5 LDs...some nights far more...some nights maybe 2 or 3. That's 5000 baht a week...260,000 baht a year.
Over the course of a year here it's not that difficult if you're out often at night and indulging 3 or 4 times a week with the services of a lady to shell out 1million+ baht in Lady Drinks; Bar Fines and ST/LT payments.
