if you can remember, what was your 1st night like in LOS!

ill give 2, BKK and Phuket

BKK: i dont remember what time i landed, think around 8-9pm, but got out of baggage claim, and was in a mercedes on my way to my hotel, real excited
got to the Westin Hotel, gorgeous. took a quick shower, got outside and was pretty overwhelmed and kind of taken aback. all these things i find normal now kind of turned me off. right outside the driveway of Westin there were all these girls hanging out, seemed a little seedy. the dirtiness and humidity got to me. walked over to NEP and was turned off big time, thought it was a dump
i dont remember drinking in one particular place, just walking all over the place. wow, have times have changed! i love BKK now but was not thrilled that 1st night

Phuket: getting to phuket was more like it!! my friend had alot of negative things to say about patong o wasnt expecting it to be as nice as it is. got to Baan Yin Dee, which was everything i thought it would be, just gorgeous! it was during the day so i just walked around. i remember seeign all these guys walkign around with bg's. holding hands and thinking that id never do that, only ST for me. had no desire to hang out with some thai chick all day! wow, was i wrong! that 1st night, got dropped off at bangla rd and walked into Soi Eric, my 1st time walking down a soi like that. i was pretty overwhelmed and im not a shy guy. walked past my now gf, walked tot he end near the toilets, doubled back and sat down. ended up spending 12k baht at the bar that night! i knew the game about lady drinks, i just didnt care, was buying everyone drinks, and loving it. funny, just recently i asked my gf why she never asked me how much to go back to my room. her response was that i bought her 18 drinks, so she made good money already. anyways, that was a good night!
