In fact, it takes 1h05 but as there is 1 hour difference with UK, I'm in London only 5 minutes later You will notice that the return flight takes 2 hours.
Unfortunately, my company has travel policies and we are required to follow complex rules depending on the distance, the lenght of stay and your qualification.
I stayed 2 months in Toronto 2 years ago then have been sent to Bangkok and Singapore (It was from December to February) so you image me arriving in Bangkok with the clothes I used to wear in Canada....
For shorter distances (London, Paris, ...) The number of consecutives nights you can stay in a hotel are limited to 2 as it seems that for London, a return flight costs less than a night in the city.
Otherwise, apart from the disagreements you can face, it's a good opportunity for me to travel and see different countries (more than 30 in 5 years). Of course, I'm more happy when I'm sent to Asia, guess why ?

Maybe you should rent an apartment in London while you are stationed there and enjoy London life for a while and reurn home during weekends?
